how can i stop my parents finding out i smoke through the dentists?? :/ help

Dentists have a responsibility to respect their patients’ on issues of ‘confidentiality’ – on the other hand if you require specific treatment or a procedure within a hospital they may have to discuss various issues with your parents as they are your ‘next of kin’. It may be a good idea to talk to your Dentist and express your concerns about whether or not they share your smoking with them.
