How does the electric cig work to quit

The electronic cigarette is used by inhaling a vapour from replaceable cartridges with shots of nicotine. Whilst this product does not contain tar, tobacco or carbon monoxide, experts are worried as users inhale a fine heated mist and there is a lack of regulation i.e. this product is not ‘regulated’ by the UK Government’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
It is far safer to use products that have been tried and tested such as nicotine replacement therapy products (NRT) which have been licensed by the MHRA e.g. patches, gum, lozenge, microtab, inhalator and can be prescribed by Doctor and Pharmacists who provide stop smoking support. I understand that there are plans in the near future for ‘trials’ to be conducted on this product but until there is MHRA guidance NHS Stop Smoking Services will not be promoting its’ use…
