Northamptonshire Primary Care Trust offers a Stop Smoking Support Service across the whole County. The team is comprised of fully qualified Stop Smoking Specialists, Practice Nurses, Community Pharmacists and many other health care professionals. The team are trained in all aspects of supporting smokers with their quit attempt, from how to go about quitting, how to handle the cravings and how to stay ‘stopped’ once the smoker has given up.
There are people within the team who have particular skills in working with young people and helping them to quit the habit.
