Dangers - when misused these substances can have the following effects: a) In males - acne; aggression; violent unacceptable sexual behaviour; impotence; kidney damage; development of breasts; premature baldness. b) In females - development of male features; irregular periods; more hair growth on face and body; deepening of the voice; increased aggression. c) In adolescents - severe acne on face and body; stunted growth. Long term use may lead to liver, kidney, heart and circulatory problems. Confusion, depression, paranoia and delusions may also be experienced.
