The full name for this drug is Lysergic Acid Diethylamide. It is a chemically
produced drug.

This is a class A drug.

Known As:

Acid, Trips, Tabs, Blotters and more…

Looks Like:

It is sold in three forms: Microdots - tiny brown tablets; Window panes - little squares of jelly/gelatine; Blotters - squares of blotting paper which have LSD liquid dripped on them. These are often printed with logo pictures and are known by different street-names eg oms, strawberries, batman. The way that LSD trips on paper are made is not an exact science. The amount of LSD varies dramatically, which makes this drug even more dangerous.

Apparent Positive Effects:

  • It is the most powerful mind-altering drug ever known. Some people enjoy this other world experience.
  • It has very few physical side effects - occasional sickness and stomach aches.

The Downside:

  • It is easy to experience a bad trip. This can be absolutely terrifying.
There is no way of stopping a trip once you have taken a dose of LSD.
  • It can easily trigger serious mental illness.
  • People can experience flashbacks to bad trips for many years afterwards.
  • Users can become psychologically dependent.
  • It is a very unpredictable drug, partly because of the uncertainty of the amount in any one dose, partly because it interacts with the mind.
  • People are very likely to have accidents or do dangerous things whilst under the influence of LSD. (e.g. people jumping of bridges as they think they can fly etc.)
