All Cannabis preparations are class B drugs.

Known As:

Pot, Ganga, Hash, Draw, Blow, Smoke, Dope and many more.

Looks Like:

The herbal preparation is where parts of the plant is dried and chopped. It looks like mixed herbs or sage, but with some stalks and seeds in it. The resin comes in block form, looking like a piece of liquorice, rubber or brown slate. The oil is thick, sticky tar-like liquid.

Apparent Positive Effects:
  • It can produce feelings of relaxation, sociability, talkativeness and heightened awareness.
  • It is unusual for users to overdose, although strong forms of cannabis can cause blackouts and vomiting.

The Downside:
  • It can lead to lack of interest and energy.
  • It affects concentration and makes driving and using machinery dangerous.
  • It affects your memory, and therefore your ability to learn.
  • In some circumstances it makes users anxious and paranoid and can trigger more serious mental health problems.
  • Users can become psychologically dependent and need to use regularly.
  • It stays in the body (in the fat cells), longer than any other street drug. A urine sample may still test positive up to a month later.
